Programme Highlights

Chinese New Year Celebration (农历新年庆祝会)
The Chinese New Year Celebration promotes students’ understanding of Chinese traditions and customs. Through this celebration, students learn about the significance of Chinese New Year and develop greater awareness of Chinese culture. With a better understanding of the festival, students are able to appreciate the values behind the customs and traditions associated with Chinese New Year.

Mother Tongue Language (MTL) Fortnight (母语双周)
The Mother Tongue Language (MTL) Fortnight aims to nurture the joy of learning by creating a conducive environment for students to use their Mother Tongue Languages. It provides students with platforms to practise and apply their language skills in meaningful contexts. A wide range of activities, such as Chinese games booths and cultural lessons related to MTL language and culture, are conducted to support students’ learning and engagement.

Primary 3 Cultural Camp (文化营)
The Primary 3 Cultural Camp allows students to participate in a variety of interesting programmes related to Chinese culture. Activities include children’s literature appreciation and other cultural activities. Through these programmes, students experience Chinese culture and develop a better understanding of traditional Chinese customs and practices.

Primary 4 and 5 Cultural Performances (文化随意门)
As part of their Chinese cultural learning journey, Primary 4 and 5 students watch a drama performance. This experience supports students’ learning of the Chinese Language and culture. The objective of this learning journey is to enhance students’ interest in Chinese Language and deepen their appreciation of Chinese culture.

Conversational Chinese and Malay Programme
The Conversational Chinese and Malay (CCM) Programme provides a platform for Primary 3 and 4 students to interact with peers of different races. Through the programme, students strengthen bonds with their friends and develop an appreciation of Chinese and Malay cultures and values. Students acquire basic proficiency in either Mandarin or Malay and are exposed to traditional cultures and norms through fun and engaging cultural activities. All Primary 3 and 4 students are encouraged to participate in this programme.
